Our History

The idea for "Mission Hermon" germinated in the mind of its founding President in 1990 and was nurtured through his personal trials and by the pursuit of the well-being of others in a world beset by upheaval and suffering. Offering oneself and others the opportunity to experience, here and now, the beginnings of the happiness of eternal life with God is an ambition that necessarily involves providing support: helping others reconcile with God, helping others reconcile with themselves, helping others reconcile with their neighbors. The primary vocation of Mission Hermon is therefore to foster relationships and compassion.
In 1998, the missionary commitment of the Founding President nurtured this vocation, leading us along the path of the holistic Gospel to embrace the integral development of individuals and communities. This was followed by a period of professional immersion and missionary experience spanning approximately 17 years, including work with Trans World Radio, Haggai International, ALICT, and ITL.
Mission Hermon truly began to take shape in 2008 with the inspired collaboration of the wife of the founding President, who, through their marriage in 2005, embraced and committed herself to the vision. In December 2011, the founding couple, Omer and Fabienne, decided to proceed with the formalities of declaring Mission Hermon and officially launch its activities, which became effective in 2016 with the appointment of the Executive Director. She brought to the role her 17 years of ministry and professional expertise gained through the Evangelical Mission of the Navigators, Trans World Radio, microfinance, banking, and the WHO. Mission Hermon finally received its official registration receipt from the Ivorian authorities in August 2021, at which point the NGO resolved to promote its vision and activities.
